Phoenix Pool Series 2008
The details are now released for the 2008 Phoenix Pool Series held
exclusively at Phoenix Cue Sports in Eastwood near Nottingham and this Series
should prove to be even bigger and better than the 2007 Series!
A prize fund of £3,600 is anticipated at this year's Series and it is open only
to the first 48 players who register. A £15 deposit secures your place with
the remaining balance of £60 due a month before Event 1. This Series will
fill quickly so do not miss out! Prize money is paid down to the Last 16 and
there is also a free plate event for all those who lose in the first two rounds.
At each event 20 players will finish the day in the prize money giving great
value for money.
Phoenix Cue Sports has 10 top quality English pool tables and plays host to
several tours and events including the Premier Pool Tour, East Midlands Pool
Series and county matches amongst other things. Players travel from as far as
London, Worcester, the north west and Yorkshire to play at the venue.

Competition rules:
1. Competition open to all players. The organisers reserve the right to
refuse admission
2. Prize money paid at each individual event
3. Straight knockout format. All matches played to WEPF World 8-ball pool
rules, best of 11 frames from start to finish (Main event only). Lag for break
4. Entry is just £75 for the full Series. A £15 deposit secures your
place with the remaining balance due no later than 20th May 2008. Should any
player not be paid up in full by that date there place may be re-advertised.
Entry open only to 48 entrants and players lists will be compiled on various
regional and national websites
5. The Series is advance entry only, absolutely no entries taken on the
day. Should a Series member be unable to attend any given event they may request
a substitute play in their place, however this MUST be done before the draw is
made and have the tournament director's permission. The "substitute"
will not gain ranking points but will be eligible for prize money. The draw will
be made in advance and once the draw is made it cannot be altered
6. Handicaps will be issued against players who are ranked in the Top 32
of the IPA (international) Tour at the end of 2007. These players will give a
one frame start to their opponents
7. There will be a plate event for all players who lose in the first two
rounds. This is open only to players who take part in the Main event
8. Each event starts at 11am (doors open 10am). Start times will be
issued to players, with the advance draw. There will be NO dress code
9. The tournament organsiers decision will be final in all cases
10. These rules are property of the Phoenix Pool Series and subject to
